Florida Governor is Threatening a Television Network After a Contentious Interview

During a Sunday night interview, Ron DeSantis had a contentious interview with 60 Minutes with Sharyn Alfonsi. Now the Florida governor is threatening consequences against the CBS which broadcast the piece.

The Republican lawmaker has been heavily criticized for the vaccine roll-out in his state. The 60 Minutes piece focused on the distribution of inoculations to Publix grocery stores. Not only are the stores found in wealthier areas of the state, the chain had also given DeSantis a $100,000 donation earlier in the year.

While speaking with Alfonsi, the governor claimed, “I met with all the folks in Palm Beach County and I said, ‘here’s some of the options. We can do more drive-thru sites. We can give more to hospitals. We can do the Publix.’ And they said, ‘We think that would be the easiest thing for our residents.”
